"Church Army Hut" enamelled plaque — WWI World War I, around 1914-1918

Exceptional large blue, white and red enamelled plaque from the First World War. Indicated the presence of the American Army church in France during the Great War.

Inscriptions: "Open to all men of H.M. Forces" and "Church Army — Fight the Good Fight". Manufacturer marking at the bottom: "PATENT ENAMEL Co 1 d B HAM".

Museum quality piece, a rare historical testimony of the First World War.
