Original enamelled plaque signed Leonetto Cappiello (1875–1942), renowned Italian illustrator, dated 1922. One of the most beautiful creations of the Strasbourg Alsatian Enamelery.

This exceptional piece represents an umbrella on a colorful background, in the advertising style characteristic of Cappiello: bright colors, bold typography, striking composition. It was delivered in person by Mr. Revel.

The use of bright colors and assertive typography is the stylistic signature of Cappiello, a major figure in the advertising poster of the early 20th century.
